Santa Fe Guide

Taylor and I recently went to Santa Fe for our anniversary trip that we were supposed to take 4 months ago. Life, am I right? We don’t often get away together. To be frank, our favorite spot is on the couch next to our kids. But, we are trying to make our relationship the priority, too. So, many. damn. priorities! But, this is a good one. We really discover Santa Fe last year in the height of Covid. We wanted a “safe” place to go that was drive-able. We drove to Santa Fe and spent 7 days there. And, we totally fell in love. Close to home, a small town with big city culture, nature everywhere, beautiful vistas, and great food. Here are some of our favorites we have discovered along the way.

Santa Fe Guide

The Inn of the Five Graces – In town and walkable most places. This is a great boutique hotel with really unique interior design.

Bishop’s Lodge – Recently renowned and managed by Auberge, this is a great property. Only 5 minutes of of town, but you feel so far away.

Rent a House – We have rented houses before and this was the most ideal situation for a family vacation. Also, the most affordable with lots of great deals to be had. Lot’s of great options and the feeling of being a local.

Geronimo– one of my favorite spots, anywhere. period. Wasabi caesar and Carpaccio are epic, along with everything else on the menu.

Dolina – for breakfast. Get the Baked Eggs and the Burrito with red chili.

Terra at the Four Seasons Encantado  – The burger has a special place in my dreams. And, the best view of the sunset for cocktail hour.

Izanami at Ten Thousand Waves – Some of the best asian food I have ever had.

Kakawa Chocolate House – The chili salted caramels are always in my carry on to bring home. Their hot chocolates are wonderful. My order: half Jeffersonian/ half chili

Skyfire ất Bishop’s Lodge – The Mezcalito drink, my new fav.

*Note: there are so many good places to eat. These are our personal favorites we try to hit each visit.

Fly Fishing – We love to fly fish together. Peaceful and always in a beautiful place. Call Land of Enchantment Guides and ask for Erin.

Energy Medicine – For the spirituals one, you know who you are. IYKYK. I can not recommend energy medicine with Rick Bastine enough. He is incredible. I can’t wait to work with him more.

Shop at Double Take – Second hand, but make it Turquoise and Concho belts.

Boot shopping at Lucchese– In the middle of the square, and all the essentials to get that Santa Fe look.

Georgia O’Keefe Abiquiú Home and Studio Tour – One of my favorite museums anywhere.
